LIVE-IN NANNY

Live-in nannies is a nanny who take residence in your home and can provide 10 and 12 hours per day, most families will also include two babysitting weekly included in the salary. A live-in nanny may work a 24-hour shift or 5-6 day shifts for a higher salary.

Families will provide a private room for the nanny, usually with private bathroom.

What to expect from you nanny live-in ?

  • Morning routine, such a breakfast and dressing

  • Dropping children to school and collecting

  • Preparation of meals

  • Shopping for the household

  • Washing and ironing children’s clothes

  • Arranging play dates and social schedule

  • Doing homework

  • Driving the children

  • Travel with the family

Salaries depends on experience of the nanny and the hours they will be working. As a general guideline, range from £500 to £950 net per week. A Live-in Nanny may or may not be qualified, but will have to demonstrate at least 3 years’ professional experience, references, DBS Check and Pediatric First Aid.

Live-in nanny fees:

  • 16% of annual nanny compensation.

  • 3 months replacement policy apply.


How does a live-out nanny differs from a live-in nanny?

Both live-in and live-out nannies share the same duties and responsibilities. There are however significant differences in terms of:

Accommodation: A live-in nanny lives with the family and typically has a separate room, and either a private or shared bathroom. The live in nanny will have access to the common areas such as the kitchen and living room. In some cases the family may provide a nearby flat, for added privacy and convenience. 

​Compensation: Live in nannies usually receive a compensation package that include free room and board. This may reduce their overall salary depending on location. 

​Flexibility: a live in nanny can be more flexible with their schedule, while a live out nanny may be more restricted by their commuting schedule
